I enjoy exploring the cape on my bike, offroad riding and touring is in my near future.

Hi there.

My name is Bev. I have been riding for many years, but have never owned a 'modern' bike, so am very excited to have recently purchased my dream bike - the F650GS - something I have been wanting for about 2 years.

I own a 1935 Triumph - 250 cc's, on which I have been riding for many years, having completed 19 DJs and approximately 7 Fairest Cape time trial / regularity rallies. I am an active member of the Triumph Owners Club as well as the Vintage Motorcycle Club and am really looking forward to now being a member of the BMW Club.

I bought my first bike while living in Canada. I was pretty sad when I had to sell my bike when we moved back to SA and down to Cape Town (at the end of 2006). After seeing how many unpaved roads there are to explore in this part of the world I knew my next bike must be able to handle the gravel as well as the tarred roads. Up until now I've never really ridden off-road - my previous bike was definitely a road model. This is my first BMW, and actually my first new bike - my previous bike was quite an oldy. I'm really looking forward to explore this part of the world from the saddle.
